Winter gone for good? Not so fast, experts say

Mother nature has fooled Spencer Countians and many across the region this spring with unusually warm temperatures and severe weather that generally does not strike until late April and May.
But Spencer County Extension Agent Bryce Roberts and Tom Priddy, the director of the University of Kentucky’s Agricultural Weather Center, warn that residents should not get too acquainted with the summer-like temperatures that have farmers itching to get into the fields and residents packing away their sweatshirts.
