Women’s empowerment course to benefit project graduation

The Spencer County High School 2011 Project Graduation committee is hosting a Women’s Empowerment Course fundraiser Saturday from 5 until 6:30 p.m.
The course, entitled “Invest in Yourself,” will teach students how to de-escalate a bad situation. Gracie Jiu Jitsu of Kentucky’s chief instructor, Scott Smith, will be conducting the self defense course.
The course will be at Spencer County High School for ages 13 and older.
Participants should wear a t-shirt, sweats and shorts.
