FROM THE WORD: In his own image

As we look at our leaders today even though they are for killing thousands of babies each year before they are brought into the world and as we look at the Word of God they are definitely created by God. Regardless of who their daddy is, their Father is still God.

Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Now let’s look at God’s way of producing a baby.

Genesis 4:1-2 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Now our government has given our scientist the go ahead on producing a baby in a different way which they call cloning. Someone ask me if they succeeded and did make a baby, would it have a soul? I told them I did not know. I asked a well-educated person and she said of course it would have a soul because it would be a human being.

Still I really don’t know. One thing I do know, I hope they fail and we don’t have to know. One question, what do you my readers think? One thing, if we are a really born-again Christian, we have to know the things we are doing in America are against the Word of God.

A few years ago, our U. S. Supreme Court ruled our nation was a Christian nation. Now our president says we are no longer a Christian nation, we are a people’s nation. I would hate to think he is right, but by the way we go against the Word of God, it makes one wonder.

Most everywhere we look we are breaking God’s commandments. This morning, I was reading Deuteronomy 15:5-6: Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day. For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow: and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

I ask each one to take a look at our country and the way we are breaking the commandments of the Lord and ask yourselves a question, where do we stand with the Lord today?
