Youth Service Center summer day camps

The Spencer County Youth Service Center is sponsoring summer day camps. Spaces are limited. Please contact the YSC to register. There is a $10 registration fee but scholarships are available. Lunch will be provided for all participants.

 A Tuesday Thing – SCMS. Mrs. Robin Baxter, librarian. Special programs each week. July 7, 14, 21, 28, August 4.  Open library from noon until 6 p.m. Open to grades 6 – 12. July 7, starting at noon,  local custom car and motor bike designer, John Triplett, will talk about his business and the opportunities for careers using your hands and creativity. Students–get your picture taken on a cool custom motor bike!

 Journalism Camp – Mrs. Ronda Cox, editor in chief. Call for dates/times at SCMS. Open to grades 6 – 12.

 CSI – Mrs. Dorothy Beaverson, lead detective. July 13 – 17 from 9:30 a.m. – noon at SCMS. Open to grades 6 – 12.

 Art Camp – Mrs. Martha Crenshaw, Creative Art Director. July 20 – 24 from 9:30 a.m. – noon at SCMS. Open to grades 6 – 8.

 Tae Kwon Do – Mrs. Amanda Bruce, first don black belt, WTF. July 27 – 31 from 10 a.m. – noon at SCMS. Open to grades 6 – 12.
