These photos are shared from a book of Taylorsville and Spencer County history celebrating the city’s sesquicentennial. The book belonged to T.C. and Louise Bentley and was purchased at auction by David Jewell, who loaned it to the Magnet. The Spencer County FFA Dairy Judging team, Austin Jaggers, Susan Mann, Tevin Shouse, and Joseph Snider, the 2011 National FFA Champions, traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland on June 20, and participated in the 2012 Scottish Highland International contest.
The Spencer County 4-H Trailblazers Horse Club took a field trip to Churchill Downs on June 4. The group went to the Derby Museum, toured Churchill Downs, and the backside.
