  • Snider, Karrer make Georgetown dean's list

    The following students have been named to the dean’s list at Georgetown College for the 2011 spring semester:
    Hannah Marie Snider of Mount Eden. Hannah is the daughter of Amos and Suzanne Snider of Mount Eden.

    Rachel Christine Karrer of Taylorsville. Rachel is the daughter of Bill and Karen Karrer of Taylorsville.

    The dean’s list honors undergraduate students who completed the semester with at least 12 credit hours and a 3.7 GPA, according to Dr. Rosemary Allen, provost/academic dean.
     

  • Four named to Bellarmine dean's list

    Bellarmine University recently named students to its dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester. The dean’s list recognizes students who receive a grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

  • Schueman named to Campbellsville president’s list

    Bruce George Schueman, a junior from Mount Eden, was named to Campbellsville University’s president’s list for the spring 2011 semester, Dr. Frank Cheatham, vice president for academic affairs, announced in a news release.

  • Armstrong graduates from Daymar College

    Linda Armstrong, of Taylorsville, recently graduated from Daymar College with her associate’s degree in medical assistance. Armstrong earned a 4.0 grade point average over the two-year enrollment period.
    Armstrong is the wife of Eddie Armstrong, and the mother of Lindsey and Jacob Armstrong.

  • Edwards named to Campbellsville dean’s list

    Jonathan Craig Edwards, a senior from Mount Eden, was named to Campbellsville University’s dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester, Dr. Frank Cheatham, vice president for academic affairs, announced in a news release.

  • Fisherville man graduates from Alabama’s Samford University

    Christopher Sean Duffy of Fisherville graduated from Samford University during spring commencement on May 14.
    Duffy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.
    Founded in 1841, Samford is the largest private university in Alabama with more than 4,700 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled annually.

  • Three Taylorsville residents receive academic recognition at WKU

    Three Taylorsville residents earned academic recognition during the spring 2011 semester at Western Kentucky University.
    Kathryn E. Minyard was named to the dean’s list.
    Allison J. Beeson and Joel R. Fickel were named to the president’s list.
    Students making the dean’s list have a grade-point average of 3.4 to 3.79 on a 4.0 scale. Students on the president’s list have GPAs of 3.8 to 4.0.
    To be eligible for either list, students must have at least 12 hours of coursework that semester.

  • Ashley named to Morehead State dean's list

    Aaron M. Ashley of Taylorsville was named to the Morehead State University dean’s list for the 2011 spring semester.
    To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled on a full-time basis and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the current semester.

  • Dowell named to Wofford College dean's list

    Chelsea Taylor Dowell of Fisherville was named to the dean’s list at Wofford College for the spring 2011 semester.
    To be named to the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
    Dowell earned a 4.0 GPA for the semester.
