Taylorsville Elementary School’s Fall Drama Club recently performed ‘A Bad Case of Stripes’ —   which tells the story of Camilla Cream, who’s obsession with what other people think of her causes her to break out in stripes. The presentation included third through fifth grade students. Pictured above are expert doctors played by Joe Tobaben and Audrey Hickerson. They are working to find out what is causing Camilla’s stripes. Camilla was played by Ella Steers.

Zoe Brooks-Jeffiers, daughter of Mark Jeffiers and Paige Brooks-Jeffiers has been selected as the SCHS Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar participant.

Starting Jan. 1, 2013, Spencer County High School will have an opening for a parent representative position on the School-Based Decision Making Council.

Spencer County High School sophomore Brittany Linehan was nominated by Mrs. Martin and Ms. Fickel as the SCHS November Student of the Month. She was nominated for her work with special needs students.
The following was written about Brittany in the nomination: “Brittany helps us out by helping them off the bus, getting breakfast and whatever the kids might need. No one ever asked her to help, she just does.”
Linehan is new to SCHS this year and originally from Indiana.
