Richards named to Bethlehem High honor roll

The following Spencer County students have been named to the honor roll for the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year at Bethlehem High School in Bardstown, Kentucky.

Locals named to Center College dean's list

The Spencer County Sheriff’s Department welcomed deputy  Jonathan Bentley recently to its staff. Bentley, pictured above in middle, is sworn in by Judge David Hayse of Fayette County.

The Spencer Magnet welcomes Taylorsville resident Michael Waits as our new graphic designer and production assistant – bringing with him many years of fruitful experience in the field of advertising and graphic design.

Michael joins the Magnet staff after having worked for nearly 10 years as an artist at Hillsdale Furniture, LLC., located in Louisville, KY.

Not everyone was forced to endure the bitter cold and heavy snowfall that hit many parts of America hard during the first days of 2011. Brooke Armstrong, a 2009 Spencer County High School graduate, recently spent two busy weeks in Central America through a study abroad program she found on the Internet.
