  • Who are you talking to?

The other day I was having trouble with my computer and I started talking to it! Just as if it could really understand me!  (And yes, I know about Siri and Echo and Alexa, but they just pretend to talk to you).

Anyway, there I was talking to my computer, saying things like, “Oh Come ON!” Or ,“What is wrong with you now?” As if the computer would go faster or even answer my frustrated question.  But, looking back I realize, I talk to a lot of inanimate objects!  You probably do too.

  • Nailed it!

When I was a kid, I thought a nail was just a nail. You know, if you’ve seen one nail, you’ve seen them all.  I am still a little that way. I mean, does it matter when you are hanging a picture what kind of nail you use?  Nobody is going to see it anyway.

  • The wonder of it all

I have always been fascinated by the night sky. The stars, the moon, it all seems so amazing.  That fascination seems to have been born in me from an early age. Early on, I learned about the canals on Mars, about Saturn’s rings, about comets and asteroids and more. Even now I can name the moons of Mars, Deimos and Phobos.  I remember searching out the big dipper and Orion’s belt just to see them

  • Pain can be good

Have you ever thought that maybe pain is a good thing?  I am not saying that we should enjoy pain; just that sometimes pain serves a purpose.  Pain warns us when something is wrong.  Often a little pain will stop us from experiencing even worse pain.
