I was talking to one of my daughters the other day, after she read one of my articles in the paper. She said, “Dad, you probably made a lot of people mad with that article.” My reply — “Maybe so, but I preached it in my church and everyone came back the next Sunday.”
I only preach and write what God lays on my heart, and one thing is for sure, I am going to stay true to God regardless of what he tells me to do.

As we look at how deceiving Satan really is, if we do not stay prayed up and stay in the word of God, he will devour us, because the only way we can defeat him is through Jesus Christ.
I believe the first thing we have to learn in the battle with Satan is that it’s a long way from our heads to our hearts.
By saying this, if we do not watch, we will fall into one of Satan’s traps. We will be trying to defeat him on our own strength and if we try to figure out where he is coming from without the grace of God that is exactly what he wants us to do.

“But it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).
As I look at this verse in the Bible, one thing is for sure, I am going to see what God has prepared for me. One question: are you going to see what God has prepared for you? Many times while speaking in churches and traveling in different states, I have heard many things said from people who claim to be Christian.
Here are some:

I went through the bank windows and had a check made out to my wife and wanted to cash it. The teller told me if I wanted to get it cashed, I would have to sign it, too. Of course it was no big deal, so I signed it. When she brought me the cash, I said, “When we married 52 years ago we became one.”
In Matthew 19 it says, “We do become one flesh,” when the Pharisees were asking Jesus about putting away your wife.
