You may not know this, but I grew up in Baltimore Maryland.  At that time the Colts still played in Baltimore and the Orioles used to occasionally win a World Series.  Then, I ended up in Southern California for a while, about the time a fellow called Magic Johnson started playing for the Lakers.  

Recently you may have seen the ad on TV where a young woman climbs a mountain and ends up standing on the peak.  The music is heroic, the theme of overcoming obstacles, of striving to the top is inspiring, but in the end it is a credit card commercial!

I have heard many people say, “The Lord is coming back to Earth,” ever since I was a little child and he hasn’t come back yet. The Bible says he is coming back and I believe it. I also believe it will not be very long. Just take a look at how sinful our country is and the rest of the whole world. Sin will be the reason he will come back.

When I grew up, many times I would hear someone tell something and someone else would respond, “That doesn’t sound right,” and they would call the person “Doubting Thomas.”
I grew up with “Doubting Thomas,” not knowing it came from the Bible. I believe a lot of people who would use this saying did not know it came from the Bible either.
In John 14, Jesus told his disciples that he was going away to prepare a place for them and where he was there they could be, also.
