Most cats I have met are independent and go their own way.  When I was a kid, our cat Kitty was certainly that way. She did things her way and didn’t seem to care what the rest of the family thought about it.
Everything changed one night shortly after we had moved into a house in the country.  One night a black cat showed up meowing pitifully at our back door. We could not shoo her away, she just kept coming back.  I finally went out to chase her away, but something stopped me.  This cat somehow seemed familiar.

People come to me and ask me: “Why don’t the leaders promote the county like you did?” I really don’t know why; but, one thing I do know is that our fiscal court and I had a lot of faith in Jesus Christ.

Many times we would bring up things that needed to be done and before we jumped into trying to do them we would go home and pray about them. By doing this, we would find out Jesus knew a lot more about doing the things we were trying to do than we did.

Lately I have been taking my dog with me when I go to the drive-through at the bank.  And in case you are wondering, she is a pretty big dog, about 50 pounds or so.

The Jacksons have been married for 22 years and have two daughters. Sarah is a junior at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green and Macie is a sophomore at Fern Creek High School in Louisville.
