  • The Living Water

I drink a lot of water: I like water. Drinking water usually saves a couple of bucks at restaurants, so maybe I’m just cheap, but I really do actually like water. Do you remember when water only came out of the faucet? When I was a kid, no one ever thought about buying water at the grocery store.

  • Bible’s truths can be uncomfortable

Did you ever watch shows like “America’s Funniest Home Videos?” We used to watch it a lot, just because it is funny, lighthearted, and our granddaughter would laugh her head off. I still watch it when I get a chance.

  • Was U of L running with the devil?

The University of Louisville men’s basketball team’s self-imposed ban on post-season play has rocked their season and drawn the ire of Coach Rick Pitino who argues that heavy fines should be levied on coaches, the school—anybody but his ballplayers. It’s a compelling argument from U of L’s motivator-in-chief. • Debt and the Bible

Wow, have you seen those “Get Cash Now” commercials? I wasn’t really paying attention, but I caught the end of one the other night when that little disclaimer blurb flashed up. • God wants us to dream

I could hardly sleep the night before. Long before the alarm rang to get me up for school I was already awake and dressed. It was dress-up day for the fourth grade class at Keavy Elementary School (home of the Blue Jays). All of the students had instructions to dress up as their favorite character from a story book.

  • Trusting God in the storms of life

Last week, I received news that was hard to hear. I sat in front of my spine doctor and listened as he said there was nothing he could do to help with an injury I sustained in a car accident two years ago. Since my accident in January 2014, I’ve been dealing with low-back pain, leg pain, numbness in my feet, and sporadic headaches. I’ve had to adjust my lifestyle to fit my level of pain.
