• Gay marriage: How not to respond

If you’re saddened at the direction our nation has turned, a direction now realized after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage, you may be having a difficult time reconciling that according to your Christian beliefs.

After all Christians are called to love others and hate sin and this often causes a spiritual division. Many are left to wonder how they should respond.

  • Part 2: What the devil doesn't want you to know

    Part II
Last week, we talked about how the devil is not all-powerful, not all-knowing, and cannot be everywhere at once. His power is nowhere close to God’s. Most of his power is simply derived by creating illusions in your mind, having you believe a lie. The mind is where your battlefield is. This leads into this week’s topic: temptation.
James 1:13 says, “And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, ‘God is tempting me.’ God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.”

  • Haircuts and hope

The other day I was sitting in the barber’s chair and I realized two things. First, there is not nearly as much hair falling on the floor around me as there used to be. Second, the hair that is falling has changed color. I would still call my hair color brown overall, but more grey has crept than I like to admit.

  • What the devil doesn’t want you to know

    Part One

One of the most memorable days of our lives should be when we gave our life to Jesus Christ. This is the day we changed our eternal address from hell to heaven. This is the day when the angels threw a party in our honor. It’s when we turned from darkness to light. There was a victory shout release by all those who went on before us.

  • Let the water flow

There are a few things I am good at and many that I am can at least get by in, but plumbing does not fit in either category. Plumbing and I do not get along. In fact I almost killed myself installing a shower in our last house.
