• Believing doesn’t require seeing

Picture for a moment someone you know for sure who has passed away. Now imagine that after they have been buried three days, they suddenly appear before you looking better than ever. How could this be? They were dead, and you know this because of the amount of people who witnessed their death and their burial. For a moment, would you likely doubt that it was really that person standing before you, alive in fact! This is exactly what happened to Thomas, one of the disciples of Jesus.

  • Watching old movies

Do you like old movies?  I guess I am old enough now that some movies I saw at the theater are now considered old movies.  It’s hard for me, but “Star Wars” came out the year I graduated high school and I guess for a lot of people that is an old movie.

  • From our readers - SCES students impress during Rep. Guthrie visit

My wife, Lynn, and I were looking forward to accompanying Congressman Guthrie on his visit with the 5th grade class at Spencer County Elementary School last Thursday. Congressman Guthrie would be speaking with the class about the origins of our government, the separation of powers and then a question and answer session. But first, two pupils conducted a tour of the school for the Congressman and they did a first class job.
