  • Dear Savvy Senior
Is there an age limit on being an organ donor? At age 73, I’m interested in being a donor when I die, but am wondering if they would still want my organs. What can you tell me, and what do I need to do to sign up?
    Willing But Old

    Dear Willing,

  • Disagreements and conflict are normal in any relationship, and, although most of the content of this week’s topic will relate to marriage, much of it can be applied to other relationships as well.
Conflicts can be a serious problem for some couples who find themselves continually hassling, fighting, arguing, often about things that may seem to be trivial or minor. These couples will often find that the arguments end up with either or both developing bad feelings, even resentments and serious anger episodes, with very little, if anything getting resolved.

  • Call it a sign of the times or just plain good luck for those of us yearning to swap fast food fare for some tasty home cooking. Potluck gatherings are back and one of this year’s hottest trends in entertaining.

  • Gardeners get anxious this time of the year.  Warm one day, cold the next, the sun coaxes open a little patch of crocus by the path or we catch sight of an old landscape filled with waves of blooming white snow drops.  This year the show is sure to come early and the forsythia are not the first to bloom, despite this oft cited sign of spring! There are other early bloomers to keep us occupied until spring truly arrives.

  • You may not know this, but I grew up in Baltimore Maryland.  At that time the Colts still played in Baltimore and the Orioles used to occasionally win a World Series.  Then, I ended up in Southern California for a while, about the time a fellow called Magic Johnson started playing for the Lakers.
