Bears have winning weekend

The Spencer County Bears won consecutive games for the first time since before Christmas this past weekend, getting the best of Henry County, 59-45 on Friday night, and then returning for a 74-45 victory over Thomas Nelson on Saturday.

The Bears broke open a close game against Henry County with a big third quarter, after clinging to a 24-22 halftime lead. In the third, the boys outscored the visiting Wildcats 20-8 to take a 44-30 lead, and then maintained that margin in the final quarter to pick up their eighth win of the season.
