  • Norman Glenn Whitehouse, 70

     

    Mr. Norman Glenn Whitehouse, 70, passed away June 10, 2015, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. He was born the son of the late Hubert Ernest and Daisey Allien Snider Whitehouse in Spencer County. He was a retired employee of the Taylorsville Lake State Park and a member of the Mt. Eden Masonic Lodge #263.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Linda Ruth Spears.

  • Paul J. Greenwell, Jr., 66

    Paul J. Greenwell, Jr., 66, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, June 12, 2015, at his residence. Born in Louisville, he was the son of the late Paul J. Greenwell, Sr., and Joyce McClain Greenwell.

    His survivors include his son, Paul J. Greenwell, III, of Shelbyville; brother, Chris Greenwell and his wife, Marilyn, of Shelbyville; sisters, Susan Sloan and her husband, Eddie, of Shelbyville, and Paula Walter of Taylorsville; and his two grandchildren.

  • Bobby Eugene Flynn, 75

    Bobby Eugene Flynn, 75, died Monday, June 15, 2015, after a long illness with Alzheimer’s.

    He is preceded in death by his parents John Flynn and Pearl Copenhaver Flynn, and grandson, Mark Edward Flynn.

    He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sylvia Flynn; son, Robert Flynn; daughter, Lisa Flynn; grandson, PFC Cody Flynn; brothers, Curtis, Norman, Howard, and Robert Gerald; sisters, Cecilia, Joyce, and Marilyn; and one granddaughter.

  • Rev. Paul Henry Grossman, 84

    Rev. Paul Henry Grossman, 84, of Owensboro, died May, 12 2015. Paul was born in Evansville on March 17, 1931, to the late Louis and Ida Keck Grossman.

    In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Grossman, and one grandson.

  • Charlee Ann Wayne, 2 months

     

    Charlee Ann Wayne, age 2 months, passed away June 7, 2015, at Kosair Childrens Hospital in Louisville. She was the infant daughter of Larry Wayne, Jr. of Taylorsville and Heather Moore of Cleburne, Texas.

    She was born April 1, 2015, in Louisville. Charlee Ann is also survived by her grandparents Larry and Doris Wayne of Taylorsville, and Michael and Lauri Moore of Louisville; great grandparents Wayne and Ann Moore.

  • Earl Sowers, 84

    A Taylorsville resident, Mr. Earl Sowers, 84, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Maxine Sowers.

    He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Todd of Willisburg and Cindy Grigsby of Mt. Washington; son, Charles Sowers of Taylorsville; sisters, Velda Foster and Donna Deckmann, both of Jeffersontown; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren also survive.

  • Marian Elaine Curtsinger, 68

     

    A Fisherville resident, Mrs. Marian Elaine Curtsinger, age 68, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. She was born September 6, 1946, in Shelby County to the late Carl and Frances Williams Herndon.

    She was a former office employee for Dr. Skaggs and Skaggs and Dr. Crain and Oder, and was a member of the Elk Creek Baptist Church.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Herndon.

    Joe Malcom Cox, Jr., 59, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. Born in Spencer County, he was the son of the late Joe Malcom Cox, Sr., Mabel Chesser Cox McAllister, and Leonard McAllister.
