‘Love My Neighbor’ to open Saturday
Love My Neighbor, a local ministry that offers clothing, shoes, accessories and appliances to those in the community in need, will open to the public on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Love My Neighbor is located in the old Bullfrog Nursery building on Taylorsville Road.
Items are provided at low costs, but no one will be turned away, organizers said.
Also, from 9 a.m. to noon, the ministry will accept drop-off donations at the same location.

Tim Montgomery, a deputy with the Spencer County Sheriff’s Department, was among a class of law enforcement officers from many agencies across the state who graduated in October from basic training at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training.

SCHS student council hosts basic needs drive
The Spencer County High School Student Council will host a basic needs drive through Monday.
Anyone willing to donate gently-used clothing, a gently-used or new toy, or non-perishable food item can bring it to the high school front office, deposit the items in a container and the student council will make sure items are delivered to the appropriate areas.
“Clean out your closets and your kitchen shelves and help those in need this holiday season,” organizers said.
