A second county employee was hospitalized over the weekend after falling ill from possible exposure to moldy conditions inside the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Tom Brummer was transported to Baptist East hospital Friday afternoon after he complained of respiratory issues. He was admitted and remained at Baptist East as of Monday afternoon.
“He’s still in the hospital,” said Sheriff Buddy Stump. When asked if he felt Brummer’s condition was related to mold, Stump said “Yes, I feel like it is.”
