There’s no quit in the Spencer County Bears basketball team, but there’s also little room for error. They had just enough of the latter during a stretch in the second quarter to doom them in a district matchup Friday night against a 13-3 Collins team, as they fell 53-45.
“We really struggled converting in the first half, especially in the second quarter,” said Bears coach Jason Burns.
“We missed threes, point-blank layups and even free throws. We played very poorly for about a two minute stretch.”
