  • Public Record: Property transfers Nov. 8-21

    The following deeds were recorded in the Spencer County Clerk’s office between Nov. 8 and Nov. 21:

    On Nov. 8, Alvis O. Shirley and Wanda Vernice Shirley to Tony Wayne Shirley and Deborah Shirley, two parcels, as described in deed book 257, page 476, $1, $250,000 fair market value.

    On Nov. 8, Daniel Kronk and Susan Kronk aka Susan H. Kronk to Joseph L. Abell and Betty Abell, lot 123 of Goebel Crossings, Phase III, as described in deed book 257, page 474, $417,000.

    The following cases are continued from last week’s Spencer Magnet and were heard in Spencer District Court Nov. 15 by Judge Donna Dutton:

    Rebecca L. May (1977), driving on a DUI suspended license first offense, guilty, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for two years, $143 court costs and bench filing fee to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

    Judge Donna Dutton heard the following cases in Spencer District Court Nov. 8, 2013:

    Misdemeanor:
    William R. McClain (1967), operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, guilty, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program, quarterly review; possessing license when privileges are revoked/suspended, guilty, sentenced to 365 days conditionally discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program, quarterly review; $143 court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

    The following quitclaim deeds were recorded in the Spencer County Clerk’s Office from Oct. 1 through Nov. 7:

    On Oct. 2, Patrick J. Maynard and Emily W. Maynard to Patrick J. Maynard, 1.298 acres, as described in deed book 256, page 610, $170,000 fair market value.

    The following is the second part of Spencer District Court records from Oct. 25, 2013, heard by Judge Donna Dutton:

    Joshua Perry (1989), failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first, guilty, $500 fine, $400 conditionally discharged, $243 in fines/fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

  • PUBLIC RECORD: Taylorsville Police Citations Oct. 25-27

    The Taylorsville Police Department issued the following citations Oct. 25 through Oct. 27:

    Jake P. Jones, no age given, of Burgin Noel Road in Bloomfield, was cited Oct. 25 for improper registration plate, no registration plates, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle and failure to produce insurance card.

    William I. Monday, 21, of the 200 block of Little Union Road, was arrested Oct. 25 on a Spencer Circuit Court bench warrant for manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense.

  • PUBLIC RECORD: Taylorsville Police Citations

    The Taylorsville Police Department issued the following citations Sept. 12-16:

    Raymond Grimmette, 46, of New Albany, Ind., was cited Sept. 12 for operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure of owner to maintain required insurance - second offense and failure to surrender revoked operator’s license.
