Traffic:
Justin M. Back (1984), failure to wear seat belts, guilty, $25 fine to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Justin M. Back (1984), speeding 16 miles over the legal limit, amended to speeding 15 miles over the legal limit, guilty, $30 fine and court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment; failure to wear seat belts, guilty, $25 fine.

The following property transfers were recently recorded in the Spencer County Clerk’s Office:

On Dec. 29, 2012, Raymond E. Higgs and Margarita Nancy Higgs, 654 Burgin Noel Road in Bloomfield, to Raymond E. Higgs and Margarita Nancy Higgs, 654 Burgin Noel Road in Bloomfield, tract number 5 and tract number 4 of the James Edward Noel Jr. agricultural division, as described in deed book 250, page 458, $188,000 fair cash value.

The following indictment was handed down by a Spencer County Grand Jury  Dec. 20 in Spencer Circuit Court:

Dana M. Ingram, of the 200 block of Evelyn Drive, Taylorsville, on or about May 7, 2012, in Spencer County, committed the offense of forgery of a prescription for a controlled substance, when, with the intent to defraud, deceive, or injure another, she falsely made, completed, or altered a written instrument which is or purports to be or which is calculated to become or to represent a prescription for a controlled substance when completed.

Property transfers from December 2012:

On Dec. 1, 2012, a quitclaim deed from Michael S. Klotz and Cheryl M. Klotz, 48 Grant Court, Taylorsville, to MCK Investments LLC, 48 Grant Court, Taylorsville, lots 70, 71 and 77 of Settlers Trace Subdivision, as described in deed book 250, page 198, $19,000.

On Dec. 3, 2012, from Rebecca Maddox, administrator of the estate of Michael Maddox, 103 Hill Street, Taylorsville, to Rebecca Maddox, 103 Hill Street, Taylorsville, a 0.181-acre tract, as described in deed book 250, page 212, fair market value $22,500.
