    The Spencer County FFA and Spencer County High School dance team again attracted a packed crowd to the joint fundraising effort known as SCHS Dancing with the Stars last Thursday evening. Pictured are Bill Dunning and Natalie Hall, who earned perfect scores on their dance routines and were forced to participate in a dance off.     Taylorsville and Spencer County have been abuzz with the possibility of a meat packing plant moving its operation into the community. However, the Taylorsville City Commission took action last Tuesday to prevent it from coming into city limits, and Judge-Executive Bill Karrer said he has had no discussions with a company of that type.

    Most teachers and parents will attest that children love to make crafts. This spring, parents and other adults that frequently work with children have a perfect opportunity to incorporate spring-themed craft activities into playtime.
    While craft projects might seem like they are mostly for fun, they are a great opportunity for younger children to perfect fine motor skills and for youth to learn the value of creating something with their own hands instead of buying it at a store.
