Not often is there a surplus of federal funds to assist those in need.
However, the Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency, which serves Bullitt, Spencer and Shelby counties, has money appropriated for its weatherization program.
Now, Kim Embry is looking for applicants to take advantage of the funding.
Embry, in addressing a recent Bullitt Fiscal Court meeting, said there is around $400,000 to be spent over the three counties. The funds must be spent by March 2012.
