We wanted to express our thanks and gratitude for the many people who participated in our third annual candy buyback “Treats for our Troops” event.
I know it can be hard to give up your hard earned candy, but your teeth and our troops say thank you.

This is in response to Lawrence Trageser’s seemingly consistent harassment of the current county judge-executive and the lawful decisions/actions Bill Karrer makes.
Lawrence, if you don’t like the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, why not make your complaints to those who do make them? Or better yet run for office yourself.
I have every confidence that the current elected officials and/or appointees are doing what they consider is the best for the county.
You, sir, just seem to have multiple axes to grind using unfounded opinions.  

It’s nice we have a county clerk that will be responsible and honest on the job. It’s fitting that Lynn Hesselbrock be chosen to finish out the position of county clerk, after all, she did run for the position and was a close second. With all the issues in the office why would Judge-Executive Bill Karrer want to appoint someone in the office as a replacement and possibly have the same old, same old problems?

To the victor, go the spoils, a high ranking republican told me, concerning the recent appointment of Lynn Hesselbrock to the county clerk’s position. Qualifications? My understanding is Hesselbrock’s experience is based in nursing. Granted she did run for the seat and barely lost, but with a presidential election coming up and taking an office over, that has exhausted its budget.
I must ask the question, what was Bill Karrer thinking? Another back room secret deal? On the job training?
