Larry Don McGaughey, 67, of Mt. Eden, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Shelbyville.
He was a member of the Harrisonville Pentecostal Church, and had worked construction for Walter’s and Morton’s Builders. He loved playing basketball, and riding horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Eugene and Carolyn Hall McGaughey; brother, Steven Eugene McGaughey; and grandmother, Betsy Hall.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Doris McGaughey of Mt. Eden and his son, Troy McGaughey, of Mt. Eden.
The memorial service was held at 2 p.m.. Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Harrisonville Pentecostal Church.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Shannon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
