  • Soccer Association ends season...

    The most recent Spencer County Soccer Association “Fun Day” event was perfect. This event is held at the end of each soccer season for all members of the club.  Everyone could enjoy jumping in the inflatables, challenging themselves at the kicking inflatable, watching exciting soccer matches throughout the day, taking a chance at winning a raffled item, having their faces painted, purchasing spirit wear, and enjoying a bite to eat with the family.

  • SCMS cross country team earns...

    Several members of the Spencer County Middle School Cross Country team didn’t relax during fall break — they attended the Shelby County Middle and Elementary Invitational Meet on Oct. 16.

    Every SCMS team member that attended medaled in the meet. As a team, the boys earned second place, and received the first ever trophy for the cross country team.

    Upcoming events include the KTCCA Meet of Champions in Lexington on Saturday.

  • Grizzlies fight, but fall to...

    The Spencer County Middle School Grizzlies saw their season come to an end Saturday afternoon, but they didn’t go down easy.

    Playing in the second round of the Kentucky Middle School State Playoffs, the Grizzlies squared off against Knight Middle School of Jefferson County at Fern Creek High School. It was a matchup between two talented offenses and an early Grizzly mistake proved costly.

  • Bears score 21-7 victory

    The Spencer County Bears played perhaps their best game of the season Friday night, clinching second place in the district and a first-round home playoff game with a 21-7 victory over North Oldham in Taylorsville Friday night.

    The Bears used their signature dominant defense and their punishing running game while improving to 6-3 on the season in a game pitting two strong teams that would determine postseason seeding. The game was also a chance to bid farewell to 17 senior players in their last regular season home game.

  • Grizzlies rally, win 28-20

    The Spencer County Middle School Grizzlies completed an amazing fourth-quarter rally to secure the school’s first-ever state playoff win with a 28-20 victory over the North Hardin Spartans Saturday evening in Radcliff.

  • Stallions host PRP Panthers

    The Spencer County Stallions hosted PRP in the final game of the regular season this past Saturday. The Mighty Mights (ages 5-7) played hard all day.
