  • UK Bluegrass Boardfest...

    UK Bluegrass Boardfest Collegiate Challenge hosted by University of Kentucky Wakeboard/ Water Ski Club and Kentucky Boatworks-MasterCraft dealer pulled 45 college students representing 15 different schools. This was the first ever college student only Wakeboard Tournament hosted by the University of Kentucky Wakeboard Club. The tournament was a huge success for the Club. Awarding $3000.00 in cash prizes and over $2500.00 in soft goods provided by sponsors.  Door prizes went out to all riders and no one went home empty handed.

  • Jr. Stallions win Last home game

    The Jr. Stallions win their last season home game against the Lyndon Lightning 32-13.  The coaching staff stressed to the team Sunday that, for some of the older players, this may be the last time they step onto TES field.  The boys took those words to heart.  The Stallions came up big on defense with a fumble recovery by Chance Halberg,  two key interceptions by Michael Woodward and C.J.

    Christi Shindlebower battles an Oldham County player during Saturday morning’s contest that ended with a 11-1 loss to the highly ranked Lady Colonels. Shindlebower scored the Lady Bear’s only goal on a nice assist from Shelby Pfieffer in the first half. The girls are in the midst of a tough three-game stretch where they will face all three Oldham County squads, which are all traditional soccer powers. They lost 10-0 to South Oldham Monday night at home.

    Spencer County Middle School’s Grizzly Football team pushed their conference record to 6-0 on Tuesday night with a big win over North Washington Middle School. The Grizzlies would start off stong and coast their way to a 41-0 victory over the Patriots.

  • BREAKING NEWS: Grizzlies to face...

    Spencer County Middle School's football team won their first round playoff game against Bloomfield Middle Thursday night 60-6. The win moves SCMS on to the Mid-Kentucky Athletic Conference championship. The Grizzlies will host Old Kentucky Home Middle School Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on the high school field.

    The Spencer County boys soccer team dropped to 4-7-1 on the season with a tough 10-2 loss to South Oldham Monday night at home. The boys surprised Frankfort with a 3-3 tie last week and will be on the road this week at Henry County and North Oldham. Their last home game will be next Thursday evening against Bullitt East on Senior Night.

  • Clawing their way to top

    SCHS Cross Country had a winning day at the Wildcat Invitational in Edmonson County last Saturday.  The team traveled south to battle teams they had not yet faced in competition.  Their effort to shake things up a bit paid off with a girl’s team victory, two individual winners, and several members recording personal best times.

  • Mountain Lions no match for Bears

    It took three weeks and a road trip to the southeast corner of the state, but the Spencer County Bears collected their first win of the season Saturday and did so in convincing style with a 42-15 win over Pineville that was even more dominating than the score appears.

    With temperatures in the 90s at the 3 p.m. afternoon kickoff, the Bears had plenty of reason to sweat, but from the outset there was no sweating the outcome as the Bears took control from the beginning.
