Active meth lab discovered off Little Union Road

The Spencer County Sheriff's department discovered an active meth lab in a remote area off Little Union Road Wednesday morning.

Two individuals have been taken into custody who were found at the scene in the 3100 block of Little Union Road. Their names have not been release yet. The scene was only accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicle, according to authorities.

Sheriff Donald "Buddy" Stump said the lab was discovered in a trailer and was being disassembled by Kentucky State Police.

The two suspects were transported to the Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District's Station 1 for decontamination and were then to be transported to the Shelby County Detention Center.
