Education - New Principal eager to lead students at SCES

-A A +A

Dear Spencer County Families:

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Spencer County Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition that has produced so many outstanding students.

Currently, I reside in Coxs Creek with my husband and two sons. Being a baseball mom keeps me very busy and I can certainly appreciate the hectic schedules of families. Originally, I am from Mississippi, but have lived in Kentucky for the past twelve years.

During these past few weeks, I have had many interactions with parents, teachers and students. From these conversations, it is clear there is a collegial partnership between all stakeholders to provide the best possible academic experience for our students. I look forward to fostering these relationships and working with teachers and staff to provide a world-class educational experience for each child.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty years.  I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to SCES and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

Along with teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established here by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners.  My goal as a principal is to provide support to families by ensuring that each child receives a quality and well-rounded education.

All of us at SCES are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever.  As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors—teachers, students and parents—are excited to be here. This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun and nurturing environment.  My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in, call or email me to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best year yet.

I feel truly blessed to be the instructional leader of such an awesome school community.
