LETTER: Thanks for making Lincoln Day Dinner a success

-A A +A

On behalf of the Spencer County GOP, I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this years’ Lincoln Day Dinner such a huge success. Karen Karrer did an excellent job in organizing the event. She also wore several hats during the night, from server to assistant auctioneer.
The meal, catered by a local restaurant, was incredibly excellent.
And thanks to all who set up and cleaned up, Mike Klotz, Carol and Mike Ferriell, Anita Chamberlain, Karen Karrer and Hobert and Edith Judd.
Our keynote speaker, Agriculture Commissioner Jamie Comer, gave a great speech, which outlined his goals in his new role. He drove all the way from Tompkinsville to attend the dinner. Every one of our state representatives attended and spoke about the latest happenings in Frankfort. Representatives for our U.S. senators and congressman outlined what was happening in Washington D.C. And it was a tremendous honor to have our National Republican Committeewoman, Gail Russell, join us and share a some humorous stories with the crowd.
Sheriff Buddy Stump showcased his skills as auctioneer extraordinaire for the event. And Jim Weise, the 2nd District GOP Chairman was our Master of Ceremony for the night. He did an excellent job.
Lastly I would like to thank everyone who attended and shared some great food, fellowship and an overall good time. We look forward to another successful Lincoln Day Dinner in 2013.
