Downtown Main Street had previously raised money to revitalize a strip of property across from City Hall and the Library to put in park benches, flowers and trees.
The area on Taylorsville Road is called “The Great Lawn” and it welcomes people into Main Street.
Last weekend, a person or persons cut down some of the trees and shrubbery. If anyone has more information, please call the Taylorsville Police at 477-3235.
